Backup Your Family Pictures

With all the digital cameras out there more and more people are taking more and more family pictures.

I have 3 digital cameras plus my cell phone that I use almost on a daily basis.

This adds up to thousands of pictures each month that my wife and I take.

I have started using a DVD burner to back up the pictures because with the video that my new camera takes sometimes I will have 6 gigs of pictures and video in a month to back up, and that takes too many CD's.

I don't think it really matters what type of burner you buy, I got one on sale for around $35.

So you don't need to spend a lot of money, my theory is if it burns ok then your fine. Now if it can't burn a DVD disk then you have a problem.

But I have found that the speed you burn has more to do with your success rate, even with a very expensive DVD burner I still burn on the slowest speed.

It takes a few extra minutes but once a month it is not that big of an inconvenience.
